How long does it take for insurance to pay out a totalled car?

My Mitsubishi was totalled in an accident last week. I am sick of taking the bus, to be honest; when will my insurance pay me out for my totaled car?

I’m so sorry to hear about your car! I’m happy to say, though, that most claims take around 30 days to process—so you should be getting a payout sooner rather than later!
When paying out a
totalled car claim
, the insurance company will do extensive research to make sure they are paying you correctly. The company is trying to keep their costs low and protect themselves from any fraud.
If you want to speed up the process, make sure you’ve given any and all relevant information to your insurance company. You can also submit pictures of the totalled car, as that will make it easier for your provider to fact-check your claim.
If you’re dissatisfied with your insurance coverage, however, you can always go shopping for a new one. To get the best deal on the coverage you need, check out the
