How long does it take for insurance to lapse with USAA?
How long do I have until my coverage is affected? I'm late on my payment with USAA and I don't know when I'll have the money to pay it.
“USAA has a grace period of 30 days for late payments. After this period, USAA will cancel your insurance.
If you have a lapse in car insurance because you’re behind on payments, contact your agent or call 1-800-531-8722 during this 30-day grace period to see what they can do for you.
Don’t let your policy lapse as this can mean you’re driving without insurance—something that’s illegal in nearly every state.”
