How long does car detailing take?

What's a normal amount of time for a car detailing to take? I'd like to get it done during my lunch hour, but I'm afraid it won't be enough time.

On average, car detailing will take between three to five hours for medium-sized cars with a healthy layer of dirt. But if you bring in a van that hasn’t been washed since your last camping trip, it could take much longer.
Aside from the car, your detailing time will also depend on the services you need. A thorough
car wash
and a quick interior wipe-down could take under an hour! But a full car detailing will typically include:
  • Cleaning the tires and wheels
  • Touching up and cleaning exterior paint
  • Deep cleaning interior surfaces
  • Wiping down any trim
