How long does a car insurance quote last?

I gathered some quotes online but want to take time before making a decision. How long can I expect the companies will hold the prices they quoted?

“It’s normal–and recommended–to want to do additional research before purchasing a policy!
While it’s up to each individual
car insurance
company to determine how long they’ll hold a quote for you, most quotes expire after 30 days.
That said, rates vary with insurance companies and change often. If you are shopping in advance and don’t purchase a policy until a few weeks later, you may pay more as you’ve lost an early shopping discount.
Also worth noting is that some insurance companies don’t pull all their final reports until after you’ve agreed to purchase a policy. If that happens, you can see a rate increase from your original quote should they find accidents, claims, or a
lapse of insurance
.
