How long does a car inspection take?

I’m about to buy a new car for the first time. I'm curious about the inspection. How long does it take?

Buying a new car is an exciting time! Luckily, an inspection is only a small part of the process.
While there’s no specific way of determining how long it’ll last, most inspections last one to two hours.
The length of time depends the model and type of car, the inspection attendant, where you take your car, and more. While most state inspections cover routine car maintenance, there is always a chance they could find something abnormal. If this happens, the inspection could take longer.
That said, since you’re buying a new car, it’s unlikely you’ll have any major issues! Since you’ll also need proof of insurance to register your car, make sure you find the best policy!
