How long does a car battery last in South Florida?
I got a job in Miami, and I’m stoked to finally move down to South Florida! However, I also want to learn more about what it’s like to live there, specifically in terms of car ownership. How long do car batteries typically last in South Florida?

Contrary to popular belief, heat is actually worse for car batteries than cold, as it can mess with the chemistry and cells inside the battery. As a result, a car battery typically lasts around two to three years in South Florida due to the prolonged heat.
If you want to upgrade or replace your battery, the average car battery replacement cost is around $100 to $150 for a decent battery or between $150 and $250 for a premium battery with a longer life span and warranty.
