How long do you have to report a car crash?
My mom got into an accident last night on the way home from work. Luckily, she’s okay, but we’re not sure how long she has to report it. How long can we wait before reporting a crash?

I’m so sorry that happened, and so glad that she’s all right! She should definitely report the crash as soon as possible in order to make sure everything goes smoothly with her claim.
If her
car insurance
provider has an app or a website, she may be able to file there. If not, though, she should call her car insurance company. They will likely ask questions about:- Who was at fault
- What the weather was like at the time of the accident
- Any circumstances that contributed to the crash
It’s also good to take pictures of the crash, so that your insurance adjuster can easily fact-check your mom’s claim. This should also help her claim be processed more quickly!
