How long do points remain on your license in New York?
When will points stop impacting my insurance rate? I have four points on my license and it's really hard to find affordable insurance. Do points ever fall off your license?

“In New York, points on your license are on your driving record for up to four years. This means that your insurance rate is also likely to be impacted for the same amount of time.
The type of points you have on your license can also impact your rate. If you have two minor moving violations, your rate is likely to be lower than someone with a major speeding ticket or other violation.
As carriers all rate policies differently, you can still find affordable car insurance.
You should shop around and request car insurance quotes online.
By comparing rates, you’ll be able to find carriers that may not rate your license points as high. If you can’t find any lower rates now, you should continue to shop around every policy renewal.”
