I need to cancel my GEICO insurance because my bill keeps going up. How long do I have to do it? What kind of wait time can I expect?

“The cancellation policy and timeframe will be different everywhere. Some companies will cancel your insurance right away, while others will require 30 days’ notice if you want to avoid any penalties.
At GEICO, you can typically begin the cancellation process anytime. You’ll need to have your
insurance policy number
to do so.
You can call GEICO to cancel at 1-800-841-1587 to talk to an agent. They may offer you a lower price on your current policy if you’re looking to switch to a cheaper provider or try to change your mind with discounts.
If you decide to go through with the cancellation, you may receive a refund for prepaid premiums. While some companies will charge a cancellation fee, GEICO’s cancellation process is usually free.
Once you’re done, you should receive confirmation that your request is being processed.
