How long do electric car batteries last?

I’m really interested in getting an electric car, but I have more knowledge about gas cars than electric ones. I was wondering about how long electric car batteries last?

Given how popular
electric cars
have become, and how they’ll be steadily replacing gas cars, it’s understandable to want to know more about the basics.
  • This depends on the car of course, but on average most electric car batteries last between 10-20 years before they need to be replaced.
  • Many cars sold in the U.S. come with a warranty covering how long the battery life should last. The warranties usually cover a certain number of years or miles that can be driven.
Electric car battery life tends to last for quite a long time. The same goes for your car insurance, you want good, long-lasting coverage, but comparison shopping can be a real pain with all the phone calls, paperwork, etc.
So, what if there was an app that could do it for you?
