How long do car batteries last in Ohio?

I just moved to Ohio with my wife so that we can be closer to her family. Since I’m originally from Florida, I’m not used to the cold and the weather, which as I’ve read, can wreak havoc on your car. That said, I’d like to make sure that I have enough money for car maintenance. How long do batteries typically last in the Buckeye State?

Because
Ohio
has a temperate climate that doesn’t have extreme temperatures—or at least not for extended periods of time—a car battery will generally last between three years and five years depending on the quality of the battery. Cheaper batteries may last two to three years, but then again, some batteries have been known to last up to seven to 10 years.
Car battery replacement costs
are about $100 to $120 for a battery with a two to three-year warranty or $150 to $250 for a battery with a four- or five-year warranty.
