How long can you stay on your parent's car insurance?

I'm 19. I'm still on my parent's policy to save money. How long can I stay on their car insurance before I have to get my own policy?

Saving money is always smart! You can stay on your parent’s car insurance policy as long as you want, given that you live in the same household.
There is no age limit to stay on your parent’s
car insurance
policy, and you can save money by avoiding your own policy during your ‘high risk’ insurance period, which is any time before age 25.
To further save on insurance, see if you can qualify for a good student or good driver discount. Depending on the insurance company, you can save up to 25% by submitting official transcripts with a B average or higher. You also get a discount for never having been in an accident or receiving a moving violation.
If your parent’s are looking for a cheaper insurance policy that covers every driver in the house, encourage them to download the
Jerry
app. Jerry can save them money by generating quotes from over 50 of the nation’s leading providers so they can find the best rate.
