How long can you let an electric car sit?

I’m planning on taking an internship overseas during the summer and I own an EV. Since I can’t it with me I’m wondering how long can you let an electric car sit?

Firstly, congratulations on getting the internship! Second, fortunately, electric cars can sit for months without charging, but there are some things you should do in order to prepare them for long-term storage.
When storing your car, make sure to leave the battery between 20% to 80%. Leaving your car unused for a long period of time at either two battery extremes can be harmful to your battery’s overall health. Some vehicles may have a power save mode that can help to protect the battery while you store it.
Make sure to be aware of the typical weather conditions your car will be in as extreme temperatures can also drain the battery even while it’s unused. Also, try to keep your vehicle in the shade, it would be awful to have partially sun-bleached interiors upon your return.
