How fast is a McLaren?

I’m an accountant, so I’m all about efficiency. Since I’m so good with numbers, I’ve saved up more than enough coinage (money for the uninformed) to buy myself a car, and I’m considering a supercar. So tell me—how fast is a McLaren?

Well, McLarens aren’t exactly built for commuting, but considering this is your coinage we’re talking about (and not ours), we’ll cut to the chase—the McLaren Speedtail, released in 2020, is the company’s fastest car ever built, going from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds, with its top speed reaching 250 miles per hour.
The Speedtail retails for a cool $2.1 million, though—that’s a lot of coinage.
Now, considering you’re all about efficiency, you should know that the Speedtail is built for the track. You might want to consider the slightly more “relatable” McLaren 765 LT Spider, which can reach a pedestrian top speed (at least compared to the Speedtail) of 201 miles per hour, although it goes from 0 to 60 in 2.4 seconds. The Spider retails for a mere $388,000.
If you truly are about efficiency (albeit in a slightly kooky manner), you might want to go for the Spider, which still gives you gobs of speed.
Whichever McLaren you burn rubber in, you’re definitely going to want to protect it with a robust
