How far is Canada from Texas in terms of driving hours?

Some friends and I are planning a road trip that will start in Texas and end somewhere in Canada. How long will it take for us to get there?

A big road trip sounds like a blast!
Texas
is a big state, and Canada is a huge country, so how long it will take you to drive from one to the other depends on where you want to start and finish. Winnipeg is the Canadian city most directly north of
Dallas
, and to get there you would have to drive about 1,300 miles, which should take you around 20 hours with good traffic conditions and without any stops.
Here are some of the biggest cities in Canada and how long it would take to get there from Dallas:
  • Driving to Toronto would take around 22 hours
  • Driving to Montreal would take around 26 hours
  • Driving to Vancouver would take around 34 hours
No matter where in Canada you visit, make sure to plan out plenty of stops along the way. Not only is making frequent stops a great way to avoid highway hypnosis, but it’s also how you can have the most fun on your road trip.
Before you set out on a big trip, you should make sure you aren’t overspending on insurance.
