How does insurance cover snow damage?
Is snow damage something that is covered by my auto policy? I live in the northeast and want to make sure my car is protected from all the cold weather that we have here.

If you are involved in an accident due to sliding on ice or snow, you will be covered under your
collision coverage
. This can happen if the weight of snow causes a tree to fall on your car.
If your garage caves in on your vehicle, then it would be covered under your homeowner’s policy.”
