How do you use blind spot assist in a VW?

Is there an easy way to activate the blind spot assist feature in my new VW? Part of the reason that I bought this car is that it has blind spot assistance, but now I can’t figure out how to turn it on!

The blind spot assist feature in newer vehicles can definitely be helpful! Typically, blind spot assist in a
VW
will turn on automatically when your vehicle reaches a speed over 9 mph.
If your blind spot assist isn’t working, however, it’s possible that it’s been turned off. To turn it back on, follow these steps:
  1. Using your instrument cluster, select Assist Systems on your display.
  2. Select Blind Spot Monitor.
  3. If the monitor is set to OFF, switch it to ON.
