To use a vacuum pump on a car AC, you’ll want to start by setting up the pump. Add oil to your vacuum pump and get the gauges and valves ready.
Start the pump once the gauges and valves have been connected. Open the side gauge valve and allow the pump to run for about 20 to 35 minutes. Once you’re done, close the low-side valve and allow the vacuum pump to sit.
After another 20 minutes, shut off the vacuum and disconnect it.
