How do you turn overdrive on in a Toyota Corolla?
I just purchased a used Toyota Corolla, and the seller was telling me how helpful the overdrive feature is to save gas. What is overdrive, and how can I turn it on in my Corolla?

Getting a new car is always exciting, but understanding all the bells and whistles can certainly be challenging.To turn overdrive on in a Toyota Corolla, you just need to press the overdrive button located on the left side of the gear selector, and in general, it should be left on. If you leave overdrive on, your vehicle’s automatic transmission will treat it as a standard gear and shift into it when necessary.
You’ll know overdrive is off if you see an O/D off light on the dashboard. Typically, it’s only beneficial to turn overdrive off when you need to accelerate quickly, like when:
