I love my Ford Focus, but I don’t like the hill descent control when I’m driving. It catches me off guard every time. How do you turn off hill descent control in a Ford Focus?

Some people like the hill descent feature and some people find it annoying. Either way, the controls are easily accessible. Here’s how to turn off hill descent control in a Ford Focus:
  • Turn on your car
  • Locate the hill descent control button above your console display. It should have a symbol of a little car going down an incline with a speedometer next to it.
  • Press the button to disable hill descent control.
And viola, no more sticky brake feeling! If you change your mind, you can always press the button to turn it back on.
