How do you turn off cruise control in a Toyota Highlander?
How do I turn off the cruise control in my new 2016 Toyota Highlander? I bought my car used and cruise control was already enabled, but I hate having it on.

Congratulations on the new car! It can take some time to figure out a new-to-you car, but luckily, there are several ways to turn off the cruise control in your
Toyota Highlander
. You can:- Tap the brakes. Tapping the brakes will temporarily turn it off cruise control.
- Use the cruise control stalk. Pulling the stalk towards you will disable cruise control.
If these methods aren’t working for you, you can also try pressing the ON/OFF button located on the stalk. You may have to hold down the button for a few seconds, as pressing it once might cancel radar cruise control without disabling all cruise control functions.
