How do you travel with cats in the car by yourself?

I have three cats that I love to take with me whenever I go on a trip. The only problem is that I usually travel with someone, but this time I’m going solo. What are some tips to travel with cats in the car by yourself?

Traveling with one cat is a challenge—let alone three! However, going on a
road trip
with pets isn’t all that difficult if you follow a few tips.
Here’s how to travel with cats in the car by yourself:
  • Buy a car carrier. This ensures that your cats aren’t flying around the car when you make turns and keeps them safe and secure.
  • Let the cats get acclimated to the vehicle. Engine and driving noises can startle cats, so allow time to let them ease into the vehicle.
  • Make your driving time coincide with feeding time. This will calm the cats’ nerves. However, if your cats are prone to car sickness, you may want to avoid feeding them for up to four hours before your drive.
  • Take frequent breaks while driving long distances.
  • Crack a window or turn on the air to provide some ventilation.
If you plan to go on long road trips, you may also want to add
towing and labor coverage
to your car insurance policy for some added peace of mind. And if you want to get the best rate possible, give
