How do you tow a car in GTA 5 for PS4?
I’ve found a few tow trucks in the game but I can’t seem to figure out how to use them. What button do I need to press to start towing cars?

Like other games made by Rockstar, there are a lot of fine details packed into Grand Theft Auto 5. If you’ve seen a tow truck in the game, you can use it to tow other cars, which is as simple as pressing a few buttons.
The first thing you need to do if you want to use a tow truck in GTA is to find one. There are a few set spawn points where you can find these trucks, or you can acquire one during a tow truck mission.
Once you have your tow truck, you should:
- Get inside the truck.
- Push down on the PS4 controller left analog stick until the towing hook reaches the ground.
- Back up into the car you want to tow and stop when the hook latches on.
- Pick the hook back up before beginning to drive.
Once the car is where you want it, you can lower it with the left stick and hold the right button on your d-pad to unhook it.
If you haven’t yet, you can play through the “Pulling Favors” side mission with Tonya to learn the tow truck mechanics. There are multiple other towing missions you can play through down the line, so learning the mechanics should help.
