How do you take someone off your car insurance?

How do you remove someone from your car insurance? My daughter went off to college, and it's too expensive to keep her on our policy when she isn't even driving.

To take someone off your insurance, all you need to do is contact your provider and tell them what you need. Your policy is always within your control, so you’re free to adjust it as you see fit!
Typically, providers will have three main ways for you to
manage your policy
:
  • Online: You should be able to log in to an account on your provider’s website and manage your policy from there.
  • By phone: Calling your provider and asking them to make the changes for you is always a viable option.
  • In-person: Walk-ins or scheduled appointments are also available if you’d rather have that person-to-person conversation.
Remember, you can only remove others from a policy if you are the primary policyholder. So make sure the account is in your name before you try to make any changes.
While you’re making adjustments to your insurance, you should consider using
Jerry
to explore your options. A licensed broker, the Jerry app helps you gather and compare competitive quotes from top insurance companies in minutes.
If you’d like, Jerry can even help you buy a new policy and cancel your old one! And when it comes time to renew your plan, Jerry will even send you new quotes so that you know you’re always getting the best rate.
