How do you submit a car insurance claim if you hit a tree?

I thought I was in reverse, but I was actually in drive causing me to hit a tree. I want to submit a claim for repairs. How would I do that?

Accidents happen, but as long as you have the proper coverage, your car insurance will cover you
if you hit a tree
.
Since you were at fault and the only driver involved in the accident, if you have
collision coverage
, you can submit a claim to your insurance.
Collision coverage allows you to submit a claim for damage after colliding with a vehicle or object, regardless of fault. The only requirement is that you pay your deductible before your insurance will cover repairs.
If you have collision coverage, get a quote from a repair shop. If the cost of repairs is more than your deductible, submit a claim. If it isn’t, you will have to pay for the repairs out of pocket.
If you don’t have collision insurance, consider adding it to your policy for the future. While it will increase the cost of your insurance, it will ensure your vehicle has protection in situations like this. You can request a quote from your current insurance company or use
