Frosted windows are a standard part of winter in snowy areas. Luckily, you can use a few tricks to prevent the inside of your car from icing up.
Here are our best tips for preventing frost from forming inside your car:
  • Leave silica gel packets under your windshield and around your car. These packets absorb moisture from the air, keeping products nice and dry. When they remove the moisture in your car, nothing can freeze on your windows!
  • Crack your windows when you park to allow moisture and humidity to leave the cabin. It may sound counterintuitive, but giving the moisture a way to escape can keep your windows clear and frost-free.
  • Bring in wet car mats once you park your car for the day. When people track snow or rain into the car, it settles and freezes overnight when temperatures are cold enough.
Using those tips, you should be able to stop the insides of your windows from freezing over. But if it still happens, you can easily wipe away frost with a warm towel.
