How do you stop an elderly person from driving?

My grandfather is 88 years old, but he’s still pretty spry for his age. Despite his energy, he didn’t pass his driving test, yet he refuses to stop driving. I care about his safety. What can I do to prevent my grandparent from getting behind the wheel?

Older individuals often can’t cope with the fact that they can’t drive. As a result, they choose to drive anyway.
However, you can stop an elderly person from driving by applying a few of these tips:
  • Teach them how to use
    Lyft or Uber
  • Provide them with a public transportation schedule
  • Look at transportation options from local senior centers or community services
  • Hide the car keys
  • Disable the car
  • Sell the car
More than anything, you should also give them the opportunity to adjust to the change of not being able to drive. It’s something that’s not always easy to accept, but time heals all.
In addition, you can also offer to take them to appointments or meetings. Free up room in your budget for extra gas by saving money on car insurance through the
