How do you sign over a car title to someone?

I’m selling my old car on my own. I know I’ve got to give the buyer the title, but how do I sign it over to them?

Congratulations on selling your old car! Usually, when you’re
selling your car to sign over the car title
you need to sign it. You should also get in touch with the DMV and let them know you’re selling your car. There may be additional paperwork they’ll want you to do, depending on where you live.
Check your local DMV website to find out what other paperwork you need to file to transfer over the title to complete the sale. This may even include putting other information on the title before you hand it over to the buyer.
Whenever you make changes to your car by selling an old one or getting a new one, it’s important to update your insurance. This is also a great time to do some comparison shopping. You can do this easily with the
