Congratulations on your new purchase! Before making or receiving calls through your vehicle, you must pair your phone to Honda’s HandsFree Link. To setup Bluetooth in a Honda Civic, follow these steps:
  • Press the PHONE button.
  • Navigate to your phone’s Bluetooth settings and ensure it’s in search or discoverable mode.
  • Select Yes.
  • The audio system will enter a waiting mode for pairing.
  • Select Honda Civic on your phone’s Bluetooth menu.
  • Select Search from your vehicle and follow the prompts.
  • When your phone appears on the Bluetooth list, select it.
  • The system will provide a pairing code on the audio/information screen—confirm if the pairing code on the screen matches the pairing code on your phone.
  • A notification will appear on the screen if the pairing is successful.
Here are a few tips to keep in mind when pairing your phone:
  • You cannot pair a phone while the vehicle is moving.
  • You can pair up to six phones.
  • Your phone’s battery may drain faster when connected to HandsFree Link.
  • If your phone is not ready for pairing or not found by your Honda within three minutes, the system will time out and return to the Bluetooth Settings screen.
