How do you reset the oil life on a Honda Odyssey?
What steps should I take to reset the oil life on a 2006 Honda Odyssey? My sister keeps saying she’ll do it for me, but she still hasn’t. I’d rather do it myself than keep waiting for her.

Your oil life indicator is a great tool for making sure you stay on track with your
car maintenance
, so you shouldn’t reset the oil life before getting an oil change. That said, you can follow these steps to reset the oil life on a Honda Odyssey
:- Turn on your car without starting the engine.
- Press the SELECT/RESET knob on your dashboard until you see the phrase Remaining Oil Life appear on the screen.
- Press and hold the SELECT/RESET knob until the oil life percentage starts to blink. This should take about 10 seconds.
- Release the knob, then press and hold it again for five seconds. This should reset your oil life.
- To make sure that the reset was successful, turn your car off. Then, start your engine.
