How do you reset the oil life on a Honda Civic 2016?

Is there a way for me to reset the oil life in my Honda Civic from 2016? The indicator takes up most of the display. It’s really annoying and I’ve already changed my oil.

This is a pretty common problem! Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to reset your oil life. Here’s how to do it in your 2016
Honda Civic
:
  1. Press the TRIP knob on the instrument panel.
  2. Once the engine oil life appears in the display, press and hold the knob for 10 seconds or until the display starts to blink.
  3. Release the TRIP knob, then press and hold it for five more seconds, or until the engine oil life indicator returns to 100%.
Since you’ve already gotten an oil change, resetting the oil life should fix the problem. However, if you notice any smoke, a burning smell, or strange noises coming from your engine, it might be best to
bring your car to the shop
. These are all signs of leaking oil, which can severely damage your engine if you don’t get it fixed!
