How do you reset the oil life in a 2017 Honda Civic?

Is there a way for me to reset the oil life in my 2017 Honda Civic without bringing it to the shop? I don’t want to take my car in, because I never know how much it will cost.

Usually, a shop will reset the oil life indicator in your car for free if they forgot to do it when you got your oil changed. Otherwise, you can reset the oil life in a 2017
Honda Civic
yourself by following these steps:
  1. Start with your display on the home screen.
  2. From there, select Settings.
  3. Then select Vehicle.
  4. Click on Maintenance Info.
  5. From this menu, click Select Reset Items.
  6. Select Engine Oil Life from the provided list.
If you haven’t gotten your oil changed recently, though, it might be best to
visit a mechanic
. Getting your oil changed will preserve the health of your engine and help to make your car last longer.
