The maintenance warning on your Toyota Camry
is only there to remind you to take your car to the shop. But if you’ve been keeping up with oil changes and everything else, it’s certainly annoying. That said, resetting the maintenance required light on a Toyota Camry is super easy if you just follow these steps:
Place the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position.
If you have a push-button start, leave your foot off the brake and press the push-button start twice.
Either way, don’t turn the engine on.
Find the trip button on the instrument cluster and set it to Trip A.
Hold down the trip button again while you restart the car.
When you do this, the Trip A readout should flash for a few seconds, and both it and the maintenance required light will reset.
In the future, remember to reset the maintenance light immediately after picking your car up from the shop. By doing so, you always have an accurate reminder to get an oil change or perform other maintenance.
