How do you reset the maintenance light on a Toyota Solara?

I recently took my Toyota Solara into the shop for routine maintenance and an oil change. But when I drove home, I noticed that the maintenance light was still on. How can I reset the maintenance light on my Toyota Solara?

Getting regular oil changes and staying on top of other basic maintenance is important for keeping your
Toyota Solara
in tip-top shape. In all likelihood, the mechanic just forgot to reset the light, but it’s an easy fix.
To reset the maintenance light on a Toyota Solara, follow these steps:
  • Turn the car to the on position, but don’t start the car.
  • Use the trip button on the left-hand side of the instrument cluster to select your odometer.
  • Turn the car off.
  • Press the trip button in and turn the key to the on position.
  • The odometer should flash and the maintenance required light will turn off.
