How do you replace a windshield washer hose on a 2008 Ford Focus?

My windshield wiper fluid isn’t spraying like it used to. I looked under the engine and found a leak in the hose! What’s the best way for me to replace the windshield washer hose in my 2008 Ford Focus?

hoses can be problematic, especially for people living in dusty areas with poor visibility! Luckily, you can follow these steps to replace the hose yourself with a flathead screwdriver:
  • Step 1: Remove the tube from the pump by pulling it straight off.
  • Step 2: Pop off the hood insulator retainers around the nozzle with a flathead screwdriver.
  • Step 3: Pull back the insulator.
  • Step 4: Separate the tube from the nozzle by firmly pulling it off.
  • Step 5: Pull the hose from the retainer clips using your screwdriver to pry them up.
  • Step 6: Insert the new hose where the old one was.
  • Step 7: Carefully push the hose into the new nozzle.
  • Step 8: Secure the hose with retainer clips and replace the hood insulator.
  • Step 9: Gently connect the new hose to the pump by firmly pushing it in place.
Congratulations! If you followed those steps, your windshield washer hose should be good as new. Should these steps seem too complicated, you can always visit a dealership or mechanic to have them replace the hose for you.
