How do you rent a car with no insurance?

My friends and I are planning a trip to Los Angeles in a couple of months, and we think that renting a car would be smart. The one problem is that none of us have car insurance. Will we even be able to rent a car without insurance?

That sounds like a fun trip! I’m happy to say that you can rent a car without your auto insurance, since the rental company gives you the option of purchasing coverage when you rent the vehicle.
In addition to offering minimum liability coverage, it may be smart to pay extra for a higher level of
rental coverage
to make sure you won’t be paying for any damages out of pocket. Regardless, as long as you make sure to purchase rental coverage, you should be good to go!
If you do want to get your own insurance, you can also purchase a non owner policy. This will cover you for any car that you drive, whether or not you own it.
To make sure you get the best deal on a non owner policy, check out the

app. We’ll get you personalized quotes from top insurers, so that all you need to do is pick the plan that works best for you. And once you pick one, we’ll even help you switch over!
Enjoy your trip!
