How do you renew your driver’s license in Pennsylvania? My license says it expires this year, but I am truly at a loss for what to do.

You are ahead of the game! The
Pennsylvania
DOT will send you an Invitation to Renew in the mail three months before it’s time to renew your driver’s license in PA. You can follow the instructions outlined in the invitation to renew your license online or in person at a Photo License Center.
  1. Complete the application from your invitation or use the PennDOT website to apply for a standard non-commercial Pennsylvania license.
  2. For in-person renewals, return your application with a check made payable to PennDOT with the correct fee from the form.
  3. You should receive a camera card in the mail seven to ten days later.
  4. Take your camera card with an authorized form of identification to complete the renewal.
If you don’t have a lot of time to spare, avoid going to a Photo Center on the first and last two days of the month. These tend to be the busiest times!
