Well first of all, happy birthday! To renew your driver’s license in Minnesota you’ll have to take a trip in-person to your local Driver’s License Office or Driver and Vehicle Services Exam Station. Here’s what the process for a standard Class D license looks like:
- Find your nearest renewal location.

- Retake your license picture.
