What is the driver’s license renewal process like in Utah? I’ve never renewed my license before, just transferred it from state to state—so I’m a little nervous.

You can renew your driver’s license in Utah by following these steps:
  1. Visit the Utah DLD website and complete the driver’s license application.
  2. Schedule an appointment to visit your local licensing branch.
  3. Arrive at your scheduled time and have your photo taken.
  4. Pass a vision test.
  5. Pay the $52.00 renewal fee.
  6. Take a knowledge exam if you’ve had more than six citations in the past eight years.
Utah doesn’t have any remote license renewal options, so you’ll need to visit a licensing branch in person to renew your license.
