To renew your driver’s license in New Mexico, you’ll need one additional form of proof of identification, like your passport. You can renew your license in person at your local MVD office, but you can also renew online provided that none of your information has changed and you aren’t required to take a vision test.
To renew online, you’ll need to visit the New Mexico MVD driver’s license portal. Be prepared to enter the last four digits of your social security number to identify yourself!
Regardless of how you choose to renew, you’ll need to pay a renewal fee of $18 to $34 depending on the type of license you’re getting.
