How do you remove the spare tire from a Toyota Fortuner?

I’m moving to a new state on a deadline, but I’m driving on a questionable tire. I don’t have time to change it before I go, but I want to be ready if it pops on the road. What’s the best way to remove a spare tire from a Toyota Fortuner?

Blowing a tire can be a frustrating experience, so it’s best to have your tire changed before you hit the road. But if you really don’t have time, your Toyota Fortuner is already equipped with everything you need to change the tire.
Follow these steps to remove the spare tire from your Toyota Fortuner:
  • Step 1: Open your trunk and locate the compartment on your left side with a switch and a handle.
  • Step 2: Turn the switch horizontally and pull on the handle to access the tools inside. You should find a jack, wrench, and pry bar set.
  • Step 3: Push the pry bar into the slot located just beneath the trunk lock latch, and lock it into place with the chain inside.
  • Step 4: Turn the pry bar counterclockwise—make sure the tire is moving down as you turn it.
  • Step 5: Once the tire hits the floor, take off the chain and pull your tire out from under the car.
Hopefully, these steps will help you get the spare tire off your
