How do you remove the musty smell from your car carpet?

I’ve recently noticed the back of my car has a musty smell coming from the carpet. How do I fix it?

A musty smell can ruin your car ride! Luckily, there are a few steps you can take to help it dissipate.
First, make sure the area is completely dry—if you can’t air dry it, a hairdryer or wet/dry vacuum may do the trick.
Next, apply an odor absorber. If mildew is the cause of the smell, you can find an anti-mildew solution or enzyme cleaner to get rid of it. However, baking soda is also fairly effective at eliminating odor. Simply sprinkle baking soda on the impacted area, let it sit for at least an hour, and vacuum it up.
