How do you remove someone from your car insurance policy?

My brother is on my insurance because he lives with me, but his recent driving infractions have raised my premiums. I want him to get his own policy and exclude him from mine. How do I do that?

Sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds like it’s a good idea to have your brother take responsibility for his own policy.
To exclude your brother from your policy, you’ll need to fill out a
driver exclusion
form. A named driver exclusion means that if your brother will not be covered if he drives your car. He will need his own insurance to legally drive.
You should contact your insurance company and request to exclude your brother. They may ask for
proof that he’s gotten insurance
. It is illegal in almost every state to drive without insurance, so your brother must be covered if he plans to drive.
When you’re already making changes to insurance, it’s a great time to shop around and see if you can get something cheaper. To make the process easy, compare quotes with
