How do you remove scratches from a car windshield?

My car windshield was scratched by a falling tree limb last night. It seems small enough to fix without replacing the entire windshield, so I want to give it a shot. How can I remove these scratches?

I’m so sorry that happened—but removing scratches from your car windshield is easier than you might think! Here’s how to do it:
  • Test the depth of the scratch. if it’s not too deep, you should be able to fix it on your own.
  • Combine equal parts baking soda and water to make a paste.
  • Apply the paste to the scratch using a rag and rubbing in a circular motion.
  • Wipe off excess paste and repeat.
A few applications should do the trick! This way, you don’t have to worry about replacing the windshield or filing a
car insurance
claim.
