How do you remove sand from a car's carpet?

“While sand is one of the best parts of a beach, it isn’t doing your car any favors.
To remove sand from your car’s carpets, you’ll first want to shake out all the mats. Doing this far away from your car will also prevent any sand from blowing back in if there’s a breeze.
If you visit the beach frequently, you may want to invest in a portable vacuum, especially one with a long, narrow hose. A car vacuum can help you remove sand from your car carpet quickly. When vacuuming, the trick is to move slowly. Vacuuming the carpet too fast will only cause the grains of sand to bounce around.
You could also visit a car wash and use the vacuums there.
If you try these methods and still have sand in your car, consider taking it to a professional detailer. They can remove the seats, use an industrial vacuum, and steam clean the carpets to get sand out of every nook and cranny.
