How do you remove paint from a plastic car bumper?

What’s the easiest way to get paint off my bumper? I spilled on my car and I don't want to damage my car’s exterior when trying to clean it up.

Removing paint
from a plastic car bumper can be a chore. But let’s help you get it cleaned up!
Here’s how to remove the paint safely:
  • Wash your car with soap and water.
  • Then, apply a wax, rubbing compound, or scratch remover to the area with a microfiber cloth. You may be able to rub the paint off that easily.
  • If this doesn’t work, you can also spray on WD-40 to help. Wipe it away with a microfiber cloth.
  • A magic eraser could also do the trick. Apply gentle pressure and move in small circular motions over the affected area.
  • When the paint’s finally gone, apply a polish and detailer spray to keep your bumper looking nice.
You clearly care about your vehicle! Make sure it’s protected from more serious mishaps by great insurance—without overpaying for it.
