How do you remove gum from car floor mats?
What can I do to remove gum from my car floor mats? Someone broke into my car. They smashed a window, stole a few things, and left gum all over my floor mats.

from your car floor mats is frustrating! In our experience, your best option would be freezing the gum before taking it out. Some people recommend heating the gum so you can scrape it out, but that can lead to an even bigger mess.Here are some easy steps for getting gum out of your car floor mats:
- Freeze the gum with a can of compressed air. Most compressed air has a cooling liquid inside to stop the gas from expanding. If you turn the can upside down and spray the gum, it should cool down relatively fast!
- Chip away the frozen bits with any tools available—a fork would work just as well as a chisel. If you find that some of the gum is really stuck in your carpet fibers, you may need to cut a few strings out of your carpet.
- Vacuum any leftover bits of frozen gum. Remember to do this while the gum is still cold, so you don’t make a bigger mess.
