How do you remove dried pollen from car paint?

I was driving through the countryside for a few weeks on a trip to visit my parents. There's a ton of pollen out there, and I noticed yesterday that there’s still a lot of it stuck to my car! How do I get this dried pollen off my car’s paint?

Pollen can be a real nuisance in rural areas, but it’s easy enough to get off! To remove dried pollen from your car and keep the
paint
looking new, follow these tips:
  • Spray the car’s body with a hose one panel at a time
  • Wash the car as you normally would from the top down
  • Use a rag or sponge to remove the pollen
  • Allow the car to dry naturally
  • Apply a quick detailer to the body, and wipe away any excess pollen
One quick note: never try to wipe pollen off with a dry rag. This can severely damage your paint job, and the damage may not be covered by an
extended warranty
.
