How do you remove decals from car bodywork?

What’s the best way to remove sticker decals from my car’s bodywork without damaging the paint job? I bought this old car at a discounted price, but they didn’t even bother to remove the last owner’s stickers.

Sometimes good deals come with little setbacks. Luckily, it’s pretty easy to remove stickers!
Follow these steps to remove decals from your car’s bodywork without
damaging your paint
:
  • First, clean the area with soap and water to remove any debris on the decal or the area around it.
  • If the sticker isn’t peeling up, heat the area with a hairdryer for about two minutes or pour boiling water over the decal.
  • Once the adhesive has been weakened by the heat, peel off the decal. If it’s still difficult to remove, use a plastic card to help pry it off.
  • Use a glue removal product like Goo Gone or distilled white vinegar and a clean cloth to remove any adhesive residue.
  • Once you’ve removed the last of the adhesive, make sure to wash and wax the area to protect your paint!
