How do you remove a Bluetooth device from a 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300?

I recently purchased a used 2017 Mercedes E300 and while I was trying to figure out how to connect my phone via Bluetooth, I noticed that the previous owner had not deleted their devices from the system. How do you remove a Bluetooth device from a 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300?

Fortunately, removing or deauthorizing a previously-paired Bluetooth device from your 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300 is incredibly easy—all you have to do is:
Select “Media” on your E300’s multimedia screen. Select “Devices.” Select “Bluetooth audio equipment” and scroll through the paired devices list to highlight the device you wish to delete. Press the gear-shaped icon next to the device name to access “Options.” Select “Deauthorize.” Select “Yes.”
And voila! As long as you follow these simple instructions, removing a previously paired device from your 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300’s Bluetooth system should have no issue. Keep in mind that, just like when connecting a Bluetooth device, deleting a Bluetooth device is only possible when the vehicle is not in motion.
If you need help pairing your device to your 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300, follow the instructions below:
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the device you wish to pair. Select “Media” on your vehicle’s multimedia screen. Select “Devices” and then select “Bluetooth Audio.” Select “Options” and then “Add New Bluetooth Audio Device.” Select “Start Search.” The system will then begin scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices. Once your device is located, select “Bluetooth audio equipment.” A prompt will appear asking whether you want to connect the device as audio equipment. Select “Yes” to start the authorization process. Both the multimedia screen and your mobile device will then display a code. Confirm on both devices that the code is identical.
